The Silicon Valley Voice is joining the Silicon Valley News Bureau to create a unique nonprofit dedicated to bringing unmatched news coverage of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and their surrounding communities.
This new enterprise will continue to produce the same independent, nonpartisan coverage of local city government, development, housing, schools and community issues that matter the most to you, the reader.
It will also dedicate itself to stories that hold the powerful accountable and fight for you.
The Silicon Valley Voice will continue to partner with the print publication, The Weekly, and will continue to offer the same great, award-winning news coverage of Santa Clara and Sunnyvale news, politics, community news and local youth sports it always has.
About The Silicon Valley Voice
The Silicon Valley Voice is a news website dedicated to covering local government, community news and youth sports in the Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and surrounding communities. Our decades-long connection to the community allows us to tell stories that otherwise would not be told, giving voice to the unheard.
The Voice’s staff of reporters includes long-standing Silicon Valley residents who have witnessed the valley’s evolution firsthand. Its reporters can tell the community’s stories because they are part of the community.
We cover neighborhoods as members, presenting stories the regional outlets miss.
The Silicon Valley Voice is an inaugural member of the California Independent News Alliance (CINA) and a member of the California Newspaper Publishers Association (CNPA). It is the winner of numerous CNPA and SF Press Club awards.
